Meridian

Setups

Home screens other people made, ready to try

Every setup here is a whole Meridian space. Open one and it arrives as a new space beside yours, with your own apps standing in for any you don't have.

Share your own

  1. Make an account

Just a username and a password. No email, no real name. Your setups are published under the username.

  2. Save it, then publish it here

In Meridian, long-press the home screen, tap Share setup, then Save. Publish the file here, with a description, its icon pack and a wallpaper of your choice.

  3. It's live

It shows up here straight away, under your username, for anyone to download and upvote. You can take it down again from your account.

Browsing and downloading never need an account. To share with friends straight away, send them the file from Share setup instead. That never goes near the gallery.

What a setup carries, and what it doesn't

Carried

The space's pages, dock, folders, grid and look. Meridian's own widgets: Orbit, action grids, the space switcher, the search bar and the rest. Custom icons, and the wallpaper if the creator chose to include it.

Never carried

Contacts, phone numbers, messages, saved assistant prompts, accounts, other apps' shortcuts, or anything that identifies a phone. The app leaves these out, and the gallery checks every file again and removes anything that slipped through.

Other apps' widgets are listed by name for you to add, because Android only lets you place a widget yourself.

Sharing rules

Publishing a setup to the gallery means you agree to these. Setups that break them are taken down, and the account that sent them may be blocked.

  • Only share what's yours to share. Include a wallpaper or icons only if you made them or their licence lets you redistribute them. Rights holders can ask for removal and it will be done promptly.
  • Nothing hateful, sexual, violent, harassing or illegal, in the name, the username, the link, the pictures or the folder names.
  • One account each, and no upvoting your own setups from another one.
  • No personal information, yours or anyone else's.
  • No spam or misleading links. A creator link should go to your own profile or site.

Spot something that breaks these? Every setup has a Report button. A setup reported by several people is hidden until it has been looked at. Setups are published under the creator's name and are theirs; Meridian only hosts them. What's stored, and for how long, is in the privacy policy.
